Conductor.

Tom is a freelance conductor based in London, recording with London's top session musicians at Abbey Road and Air Lyndhurst as well as coaching amateur orchestras, wind ensembles and brass ensembles.
He was Musical Director of London Gay Symphonic Winds for five years (2009-2013) during which time he conducted concerts, coached sectional rehearsals, and composed and arranged music. A particular highlight was recording Holst’s Second Suite in F for Military Band at BBC Maida Vale studios for broadcast on Radio 3 as part of the BBC’s Light Fantastic festival. Others included two concerts at the Royal Festival Hall as part of the Various Voices festival in 2009, playing wind band classics and accompanying a massed festival chorus during the closing ceremony.
He has studied with Denise Ham at Blackheath Conservatiore, Robert Houlihan at Advanced Conducting Ireland and has attended the Sherbourne Summer School of Music George Hurst Conducting Course led by Rodolfo Saglimbeni.
In addition to this he has attended masterclasses and rehearsals with George Hurst, Vladimir Jurovski, Antonio Pappano, Gustavo Dudamel, Nicholas Collon, Major Mike Smith (Grenadier Guards), Edward Gardner and Baldur Brönnimann; and has received valuable advice and guidance from Gerry Cornilius, Colin Metters, Trond Madsen, Levon Parikian, Jonathon Butcher, Patrick Hawes and Julian Gallant.
